Every country has a powerful right wing that argue “if you tax the wealthy, they’ll leave”

We need to start calling their bluff.

We need to make it so the ultra wealthy either contribute enough to be a positive part of society, or be globally shunned and unable to extract further funds from us.

It doesn’t make me feel good to say something like this, but Charlie Kirk brought it on himself and almost no one will miss him. He made the mistake of assuming all liberals are pussies or whatever and these people are actually dumb as hell.

That politician you want to prop up, is not going to be the answer or resolve the inherent problems the country is undergoing, but anyone you elect that isn't MAGA or the regressive GOP is a step in the correct direction.

So Trump is declaring war on Los Angeles?

Rather than protest, I think everyone should go into lock down and general strike. Bring everything to a stop. Give Trump nobody to fight and no money to burn either.

We must expect and demand that the executive branch follow the law.

We must expect and demand that the executive branch comply with court orders.

To expect and demand anything less is a form of obeying in advance.

Defeatism is a form of surrender.

America taking over Greenland is a foolish idea. America destroying its relationship with Canada is utter idiocy. America applying tariffs and engaging in trade wars with neighbors is economic nonsense. A lunatic is holding America hostage and his enablers are making fools of themselves.

You have $100 in your checking account.

One day, you check your balance and it's $60. You haven't made any withdrawals.

You call the bank. They say $40 was taken as part of their "waste, fraud and abuse" program.

Would you be ok with it?

Coz it's happening to your social security and Medicaid.

The bottom 50% control $3.8 trillion in wealth.

Read that back.
