A House of Dynamite - I think if it had come out last year it would have felt more on the nose - but coming out today when our country and world are basically run by incompetent weirdos, I don't think it can rise to the scariness of what a situation like this would actually be.

#NightOfTheZoopocalypse - It has a real Zom100 approach to color palette which is kinda neat, but the voice performances don't really rise above any of the other talking animal flicks. The best thing about this one is that it is based on a story idea by Clive Barker. How cool is that?!

#ZVP: Zatoichi Vs Predator - Best thing I have seen all year. And it is only an 8 minute long fan-made trailer. It really captures all the nuances of the Zatoichi films and the Predator films, and hints to a much larger world in which these two characters and genres would make sense together.

#ThePhantomOfTheParadise - There are so many reasons this film is a mess, but ultimately none of that matters because it is a singular creation. Having said that, I would love to see the alternate universe version in which De Palma had his friend George Lucas direct it in place of America Graffiti.
