Every time you delve into something that is clearly AI drivel — slopGPT if you will, full of em dashes and SAT words — and you wonder how on earth LLMs learned to talk this way, remember that an early, critical set of training data for “good” writing was the ~100yr digital archive of NYT articles.
one way to grasp the poor construction of these paragraphs is to read them aloud. you will stumble over the words and struggle to maintain the thought.
I genuinely have no idea what this column is about. I think it may be some kind of book report?
