What started out as the infected boar god from Princess Mononoke turned into Pumbaa with some sort of necrotic flesh eating bacteria. So yeah Miyazaki and I are basically the same skill level.

Think I did this for an inktober a few years ago. I was thinking it was like pestilence cuz in the bottom left there’s a rough silhouette of a town but the kaiju size does not translate.

Tom Lyle was one of my mentors. He was my professor at school. When he collapsed and went to the hospital I tried drawing a picture of Batman shredding on a guitar since he was such a rock and roll guy. I finished the card but he never got to see it. I miss him.

I’m glad this place is getting more people. I’m Joe. I make comics but haven’t been feeling particularly able to make any happy fun art lately. So here’s some examples of my other art. Looking forward to this place being more kind than the others.
