In a not perfect comparison I’d say you also should question and validate your airline pilot to fly your plane but maybe not accurate to enter the plane believing you can fly the plane on your own or decide which buttons to press (though very tempting, so many buttons in those cockpits).
This is a very important and pertinent topic to discuss, but incredibly multilayered, and with potential to add extra layers of complexity with AI. Patients also come - and that’s great - with more information, but doesn’t mean it always is valid and good information - communication is key though.
People don’t trust doctors like they used to. Patients often feel ignored and complain about disjointed care and a lack of communication.
