Finally got myself verified successfully on LinkedIn!
For some reason (probably the ~ in my name) it just wouldn't work, until now.

Surely life changing. Of course. For sure.

✨ In March 2023, I published an article about AI.

This was right after OpenAI showcased how GPT4 could turn a hand-drawn sketch of a website into real HTML/CSS/JS. The consensus online was that FE jobs would stop existing within 1-2 years.

Well, it’s been 2 years! So, I just published a follow-up:

I toooootally felt this multiple times already, even once when I tried actual vibe coding for almost a week some months ago: it was like I was losing part of my usual "programming thinking" skills if you will.

this article hit very close to home. used Zed's AI suggestions for a few months but i quickly felt my actual programming brain starting to fog when the free credits ran out—very alarming.

now only have edit predictions and inline assist—both very manual actions.

As someone who just prefers remote working for multiple reasons and still is productive, it's just sad how these ghost engineers are taking up jobs + giving remote work such a bad rep.

I've been looking for a new remote opportunity and it's been quite the challenge.
