agrarianism, politics, distributed computing, chestnut trees
Not saying no one is falling for it but keep in mind two or three audience members, normally the ones betting will be in on it. And they normally have someone from audience "win" all the money (she/he would be the actual person running the show)

Love it. I have one with some art on it but it's decidedly less practical

They look great king; don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Also I have deep respect for the Opinel, especially with the measurements on the handle

I believe I have posted about this in the past but heres a paper about this tomato: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31998340/

Not only do they thrive on minimal (or no) irrigation but they also last a really long time in good storage conditions

When I realized I could vibe code age of empires as a browser game, I also embarked on the road to ruin. I do think there is redemption for these tools but also feel in present format they exist as kind of a decadence that will collapse in on itself due to that same capitalist structure you mention

I'm barely on here so I'm bet I'm gonna regret engaging but is there any reason why so many people seem to be taking these folks for granted that declining birth rate is bad?

Low birth rates are like one of the simplest, completely free ways to mitigate runaway planetary heating

this should have said "2025". Alas, the trajectory didn't continue for long. But new things afoot

Climate change has been doing a number on coffee production for several years. Its becoming a much more volatile commodity now.

Having listened to a bunch of regular, non-NYT reading Americans talk about this for a while, I do think they nailed it with the headline. But for most of their readership, who had much stronger reactions and understood what was going on much better it probably sounds strange and dismissive

I'm not gonna say youre wrong outright as I have no hard evidence but I do suspect it is possible to have this happiness together with your family

Time to start planting coffee bushes

I am not trying to be a jerk but this isn't something new or made up today. "Currency manipulation" hawks in both parties have used this calculus for over 10yrs. I used to hand out a book about it to visitors when I was a house intern for a Dem and I'm quite sure this concept was referenced therein

People are missing this. I worked on this stuff about a decade ago and can confirm that even at places like Brookings it was not unusual to hear "experts" suggest this kind of calculation. Extremely simplistic and thus possibly the reason LLM suggests it: the idea was already out there
