This project also includes NEW crosswalks that are also raised. A big improvement for the neighborhood!

Wait I hadn't even seen that yet...I knew they were restriping Dwight St for bike lanes but I didn't know we were getting red paint! I have to go check that out!

One more thing--Mattoon St (right next to the museums) has a bunch of beautiful, historic brick rowhouses. McKnight is also a neighborhood with lots of historic homes. The Springfield Preservation Trust put together a lot of self guided walking tours! springfieldpreservation.org/resources/wa...

So glad you're able to make it up here! Highlights include the Springfield Museums, Forest Park, and lots of good food options around Worthington St in downtown Springfield, or the South End (the Italian district) on Main St at around William.

Not to mention lots of bus service and it's all free!
