LFC. YNWA. Oh, and dogs. Lots of dogs.
Mate, every club has an element of its fan base who are bell ends. Especially on social media!

Not recall correctly as in I was actually there in 1906!

There were numerous Spion Kops following the Boer War. Liverpool’s was named due to the amount of local people who fought and died on the battle of Spion Kop. If I recall correctly it was named after the local Liverpool paper held a competition to name it.

Absolutely true, and respect and admire everything about Brighton.

Apart from the fact that you let Everton beat you 5:1 at your place and thus ensure their survival.

Hard to forgive that, I’m afraid! 😀

I can see that tactic going down well with our Blue neighbours! And I wouldn’t like to be him in that situation either!!

This is true. He was genuinely and visibly shocked by what he saw after the riots, and did a lot for the city. Very well thought of.

And yet the most watched football match on the planet is Liverpool versus Manchester United?
May 5, 2025 at 1:46 PM
Mate, look at the team changes. How arsed was Slot about yesterday? Not at all. That was like the first game of pre-season training. If we had needed to win it, the team would have been drastically different. Just enjoy being the champions!

Well having been a season ticket holder at Anfield since 1987 I have never EVER heard that word used.

Update: since my reply to you, I was offered a different top from the one I originally asked for, but it came today and looks good. So, not ideal and took a long time, but at least got a good top for the money. Not sure what to make of it all, really.
April 25, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Yep. Had one top delivered, all good. Then excuse after excuse for the second one since December.

Absolute crap, put about to try and explain why he would turn down going to Chelsea.

Contracts extended in the same summer, to be clear.
March 27, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Was listening to a podcast which contrasted Trent’s last contract extension of four years with Alisson Becker’s six year extension. Lends some credence to what you posted above, IMHO.
March 27, 2025 at 3:42 PM
Fair comment, but the golden rule was always: two years left on your contract, if we can’t agree a new one then you are put up for sale?

That’s where it went wrong, I think.

From then on in - Jürgen leaving, doubts about any incoming manager etc - the club lost control of the situation.

And that he may play against us in the later rounds of the Champions League.

Also, if Madrid get bored of their shiny new bauble and buy a new one to replace him, politically and financially we couldn’t possibly buy him back.

So what are his viable options then? Man City? Chelsea? Man Utd even?
