I don’t know why anyone takes these pronouncements seriously.
Elon Musk swears his robots will end poverty while he cashes a trillion-dollar check. The crowd cheers as he sells them a future where machines own the work and humans play pretend at purpose. He calls it progress. It looks a lot like slavery with better branding. 🤖💰
Elon Musk says Optimus will 'eliminate poverty' in speech after his $1 trillion pay package was approved
Elon Musk has spent the last few weeks outlining a future with Optimus — one that will "eliminate" poverty, work, and require a universal income.

This morning walking to the metro in DC, a (bald?) eagle snapped up a dead rat from the street right in front of me. I didn’t know we had eagles in the city! All my friends are grossed out by this, but it was actually really cool.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

This is not the right response! Yes, the “other side” is doing this too, but that is not an excuse. How shameful.

We are better than this.
