As a thriller played out in Detroit, we had one in Tallmadge as well.

The Blue Devils overcame a heartbreaking second set, in which a 16-10 lead got away, to wage their own massive comeback.

Sophomore Eva Arnold was downright special with a whopping 23 kills, including eight in the fourth set!

Game one of today's doubleheader in Streetsboro was a thriller as the Rough Riders rallied from 12-1 down but the Rockets held on thanks to a gutsy pitching performance from Amy Rein, including coercing the game-ending pop from Avery Gates, who homered earlier in the inning.

Man, Julia Nash is really something. The Rough Riders senior catches the baseline inbound and hits a tough runner against contact. Then, a behind-the-back dribble sets Nash up to race down the court for a slick floater to end the half. Nash has eight points on 4-of-5 from the field.

As I approach a decade in Portage County, I am as thankful as ever.

Nine-plus years isn't something you take for granted in this profession. To do the work I love in a place that feels like home is the gift of a lifetime. Happy Thanksgiving - I am forever thankful for you!

What a start to the season for the Falcons, who snap an eight-game skid against the Bulldogs in EMPHATIC fashion. Delilah Rahe with 20 points. Eight scorers overall in a really balanced effort. This was IMPRESSIVE!
