3100 acres of coffee bushes is pretty impressive. Kauai Coffee is an industrial level operation. I love how when the sugar cane agriculture crashed, they stepped in and created this wonderful enterprise. The old mills that processed the cane( I remember the vinegry smell)now process the beans.

I love where I live. But winter is coming with wind and rain, I won’t see a sky like this for awhile.

I lost my youngest son 4 months ago. It was a weepy time for me today (It happens out of nowhere) but while getting rid of some old files I found an envelope from 2006 with a note he sent me. Such a gift.

This weeks breakthrough. I made it to the Forge in the Volcano Cave in Stardew Valley. Threw a lot of bomb and ate a lot of goat cheese

During its 5 year occupation, the newspapers went underground. Mimeograph stencils and machines were illegal, but writers were able to get news off the BBC on REAL news & smuggle in the tools to print.

I’ve been working so hard to learn Norwegian. Today, I could read the text from interviews on NKR. (Norwegian tv). I think I’m ready to tackle this.

Attending the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg where my grt-grandfather was in the thick of it as the 11th PA's assistant surgeon is inspiring my latest #historicalfiction. His name is on that PA monument behind the tents.
