A trademark for something known as Control: Resonant has been registered in Europe, leading many to speculate developer Remedy has something up its sleeve for The Game Awards next month. https://bit.ly/3MtgG3J

Fantastic news for same-sex couples across Europe - it's really important that no EU state treats their citizens as 'lesser' than others
Big news: the European Court of Justice rules that all member states are obliged to recognise a same-sex marriage lawfully concluded in another member state.

Notable how far France is ahead of the UK on this stuff
Macron remarks are notable- some quotes: "We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks that are controlled either by large American entrepreneurs or large Chinese companies, whose interests are not at all the survival or proper functioning of our democracies."
President Macron: “Europeans, let's wake up!

We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks.”

I don't think we'll ever get another sentence which sums up everything the New York Times embodies quite like "Some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily kill civilians".
hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.

This is what a genocide looks like.
Doctors Without Borders has suspended operations in Gaza City because of the danger to its staff caused by the Israeli military’s ground offensive. The announcement came on the same day that the UN said four hospitals had been rendered unusable in the north of the territory over the past month.

It’s also rarely mentioned that the FT is quite expensive over other UK media outlets. Quality journalism costs money!
The FT has, among the media, the best incentives to be sensitive to reality.
It is a bit odd that the FT is so far to the left of the UK government, the BBC and most other political outlets (eg the Graun)

The FT writers moved, en masse, to bluesky, which is where you'll see them engage with people.
