Deze prachtige boekband bevond zich de afgelopen 125 jaar in een privécollectie, dus behalve de eigenaren heeft niemand hem al die tijd gezien. Het is een exemplaar van Couperus' 'Psyche' in een unieke band van handgeschilderd en gebatikt perkament.

Er zijn meerdere edities bekend van Kuifjes avontuur op de maan. Deze versie is een prachtig voorbeeld van hoe techniek en verbeelding samenkwamen in pop-upboeken van de 20e eeuw. Het origineel komt uit 1954, waarin Kuifje 16 jaar vóór Neil Armstrong zijn eerste stappen op de maan zet!
