At the Grammy's in 1976, Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme explained what jazz is.

The result? The crowd losing its mind. 🔥

DEMOCRATIC ELECTEDS: You need to be holding hearings like Raskin/Schiff did but on the bloodbaths at Social Security and IRS. DOGE can now pocket everyone's personal information. IRS is being set up to make billionaire taxes optional; no more phone support # at SSA. HOLD THE HEARINGS.

Democrats need to start having regular press conferences to communicate directly with the people and explain exactly what they’re doing to fight the damage this administration is doing. They should also explain the roadblocks they run into. People need to have it spelled out asap.

At this point it should be clear to republicans that if if they split with maga now and work to oppose, they’ll be appreciated and supported by their constituents and then if they’re primaried by maga they’ll probably win. So the weak-ass fear of losing their seat doesn’t hold up, if it ever did.
Dimestore Goebbels letting spineless Republicans who think Trump was a jackass today know that they better have his back on this and praise him or else they will be looking at a primary. Or worse.

Democrats: Lol Republicans are so out of touch to nominate 17 old white guys to lead their House committees.

Also Democrats: We're voting down an incredibly popular young Latina Representative & instead nominating an old white guy most voters under 55 have never heard of to lead our top committee.

Yesterday I wrote a thread about how collective action isn't just a hopey-changey platitude—it's arithmetic (mathematical topic: "Fermi problems"). I've now expanded it into a brief essay for laypeople so that anyone can understand why individual actions matter. Sharing is caring! #mtbos #iteachmath
