In normal times, it would be a major scandal for the President to direct his AG to criminally investigate his political opponents to deflect from his own involvement in a major scandal — and for the AG to immediately announce she is doing it. The Epstein scandal and cover up just got even bigger.

I am shooting my shot.

I love writing op-eds.

@teenvogue.com was my main outlet, but if there are any others (especially independently ran) that are looking for a contributing writer on race, gender, and the economy, I'd love to work with you.

I think the best thing any politician can be is real. Be yourself. Don’t listen to the consultants so much.

Maybe this is one lesson to take away from Trump’s success (yes I just threw up a little typing that)

Going into ‘26 and ‘28 find authentic pro democracy candidates and run them.

Populist Dems won. Moderate Dems won. We won in blue states. We won in purple states.

Maybe the take is that (a) people think Trump is out of control; and (b) people like Dems when we're taking a stand and fighting for what we believe in - as we have been for the last month.

Boy Mamdani's race is really a vivid reminder that anti-Islamic bigotry is 100% accepted in US public discourse. People don't even bother dog whistling, it's just right out in the open.

Has to be understood as a threat
Trump: "We can never let what happened in the 2020 election happen again. We just can't let that happen. I know Kash is working on it, everybody is working on it. And certainly Tulsi is working on it. We can't let that happen again to our country."

It's wild that we've reached a point where the President openly admits to firing people for political reasons, and his OMB director tweets about it like it's a victory. This is page one of the authoritarian playbook, happening in plain sight.

For anyone out there who is blaming the Democrats for the shutdown, I have a question for you.

What about the other TWO shutdowns that began when Trump was President and Republicans controlled all of Congress?
In early 2018, when Donald Trump was President and Republicans controlled both the House and Senate, the U.S. government shut down for 2 days.

In late 2018, when Donald Trump was President and Republicans controlled both the House and Senate, the U.S. government shut down for 35 days.

Look. Invading our own country is about as straightforward a case as you can have for impeachment. The GOP abandoning the Constitution is kind of the only story there is and it gets no coverage.
Guys. I just had a crazy idea. What if the President DIDN’T deploy troops in American cities. Just a thought. Have we tried that before?
