I just had my first haircut in 3.5 years to get out of my "midlife crisis Saruman" phase but that was never about any kind of tang either 😵

Not for nothing but this is the kind of thing that makes me lament leaving my "David Tennant hair" phase behind lo these many years now 😂

From the distance of the internet, I agree 💖 And while I'm not quite estranged from my family, it's close to it now, and in no small measure because of similar issues and deep wounds. Never not wondering who or what I might have been or how much less stuck I'd be now. Work in progress!

People have all these rules and straitlaced ideas about how to be good parents and what kinds of adults that should produce and like... so many of the coolest, weirdest, and happiest people are just like "my parents supported me regardless of who I became or what I did." Simple!
