Of course, there’s reasonable and then there’s reasonable. One morning after a heavy night of vodkaing, we woke up to discover that our friend Fred (who drew a cartoon about a walrus pirate captain) had changed every single word in every single discussion thread to “gunrock”. These aren’t the sorts of challenges every website owner faces, but they were ours.

Went to @worldpressphoto.bsky.social today & of course there were so many amazing & important photos but I think this is the one I found most striking. Long shot on Bluesky I think but here we are. I know Moniro well and I’m deeply invested in ensuring that her cat Ava can join her after she’s resettled to Australia. To make this happen, we need to start by finding a foster home in Malaysia - before the end of July. Ava is currently in KL.
Ava, a very cute and intelligent-looking tabby cat, is pictured on a fluffy pink rug looking directly into camera. While we are thrilled for her, it means she will be separated from Ava. Ava needs a foster home in Malaysia until Moniro has earned enough money for Ava to join her in Australia. They have a deep bond, and it would break her heart to make the separation permanent. Palestinian poet Refaat Alareer, who studied in Malaysia, was murdered by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza on 6 December 2023. Commemorated here at a protest in Malta, 16 December.

I've approached it the same way that people have been completing the US map, which interprets 'stayed' as 3+ nights, 'visited' as at least one overnight, 'stopped' as visited without staying overnight, and 'passed' as passed through without stopping.

Our funds are below zero - we used to get donations pretty steadily, but it's less secure nowadays and I think the fragmentation of Twitter has a lot to do with that. Currently seeking to cover food and rent for several vulnerable refugees.
