What a strange boast?! Not the jumper, just the label...

Another picture of the former cottages opposite Fagan's pub. Now a small park, it once contained these cottages. Pic taken from Glasnevin Heritage FB Site, Brian Lynch.

7 years married today. Fair to say we haven't changed since having children.

2 beautiful Marian shrines from a recent trip to Verona. That city has a way of maintaining its antiquity whilst moving with the times.

Sad to see the Wheeler Laboratory falling into disrepair. It's an art deco style building, one of a few in the Drumcondra Glasnevin area, but not so common in the city in general. They're all beautiful in their own way, so sad to see them neglected. Not sure of its use at present, if any?

A before and after of Glenavon. One of the older big houses left on the Ballymun Road. Always seemed mysterious behind the trees and curved driveway. Alas, no more.

Another great picture from Glasnevin Heritage FB site. Haven't seen it colourised before.

Came across this amazing picture on the Glasnevin Heritage FB site. Houses in, what is now, the little park at Fagan's, Drumcondra. Poorly built and prone to flooding, they were knocked. Photo from the early 1900s.

There was a thin breeze blowing above Cranerin Graveyard today. Worth it for the views though. I love the wildness of this part of Wicklow.

I was unaware of this usage of the word 'leacht' until my friend Alan sent me this image and post. Beautiful place under the watch of the hawthorn. Quite a few 'leacht' placenames on Logainm. I liked this one below from Waterford.

A thousand years of amber sunsets have fallen beneath Old Kilpipe. A crescent moon to mirror our crescent masonry. A special place and a year of discovery awaits.

The coal holes of Eccles Street. Such care went into these everyday items. Harking back to grander days for this street.

The vista in Johnstown Park overlooking the city to the mountains. There were 2 Johnstown Houses fadó fadó. The one to the left on the map fell into ruin and Lawdon Tower renamed itself Johnstown House! You can see evidence of a ditch/boundary scarring the ground in the 3rd pic.
