She would give the gods the apples to keep them young, until she was kidnapped by a giant and the gods all began to age.
Once the giant was killed and Idunn released, the gods were able to regain their eternal youth.

Iðunn, the goddess of spring and youth, was married to Bragi, the god of poetry and music. Idun was the keeper of a store of magic apples that bestowed youth on anyone who ate them.

The giant Skadi is the goddess of the wilderness, associated with archery, skiing, winter and the mountains. Wife of Njörd, the sea god. She chose him (and I’m not making this up) because he had nice feet.

The giants Aegir and Ran are the god and goddess of the sea. Although both are direct descendants of Ymir, they are also husband and wife and live in a hall below the sea.

After Ragnorok, he avenges his Father by killing the wolf Fenrir - using ... the giant boot. It was magically strong and sturdy, and with it he was able to kick open Fenrir’s jaw, allowing him to hold his upper jaw open and cut the mighty wolf’s mouth to pieces with his sword.
