It’s now under the scrutiny of a high level competitive event rather than a competitive but local/low stakes skirmish season. Now the best decks have been pushed to their limits with 100s of reps instead of building a sideboard on what you guess locals will bring a week before the event

Did the math and 20% of the games at my PQ were scoops this season. I think some of the games would have had the same person winning anyways, but we’ll never know

I don’t think it’s worse than Bright Lights was, and imo is better than the blitz decks/smash palace/classic battles. I think it suffers from the delay of release which built up expectations to unreasonable levels from some players, including me
