I'm much more confused by why this seems to be such an issue for them than I would be by the task before them. What a bizarre statement.

Even if you ignore the disingenuous framing of all of this, I find all the smiley photos a bit galling, to be honest. This is all in response to a kid being murdered for fuck's sake!

This entire farce is used by BBC haters across the spectrum to try justifying axing it/the licence fee & my only slightly controversial take is that a public service broadcaster will be missed by the left more than the right. Maybe the BBC can be reformed, but if it goes it will never be re-formed.

I’d argue only one of those is an institutional one that pervades beyond the individuals headlining output of either area. However, the idea the BBC is a monolith biased on one direction or the other and that those two biases never interact is such a fucking tiresome idea.

I mean, look, you can quibble about the "explicitly" part, but have we all forgotten about Giuliani saying "trial by combat"? Or Trump saying "we’re going to have to fight much harder" and "We fight like Hell and if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country any more." Come on!

Had to duck out of the London Film Fest press screening for this because my daughter was ill that day. Still eager to see it.

Had fun, and also fascinated it’s a better piece of Alien media than the most recent piece of Alien media…
