I also obtained a Trump administration memo stating that the cost of shutting down USAID is $6.4 billion over 2 years. That sum could save more than 1 million children's lives; instead, it is being spent to to shut down programs that save lives. Help spread the word. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/20/o...

We are outraged and deeply distressed that armed federal agents came onto our campus—making arrests on the very ground where, in 1942, Japanese American families were forced to board buses bound for concentration camps. It was a deliberate act of provocation and intimidation.

Must-read: "Lawmakers have until July 18 to vote on...a 'rescission package,' that would slash $900 million for global health, including $400 million for PEPFAR, which supports HIV treatment worldwide." This explains why there's still hope if it's shot down.

Devastating on the deadly impact of the US aid cuts from @nickkristof.bsky.social, but truth must be told.... "To deny the reality of dying children not only insults the memory of children starving to death in Sudan and Yemen and Afghanistan; it also insults the intelligence of Americans."
SecState Rubio claims that no on has died because of USAID cuts and suggested that I had lied in my reporting. So here I show him photos of specific children who have died because of the Trump administration's reckless cancelation of aid: www.nytimes.com/2025/05/31/o...
