This was it. This was the Patriots' big test against a real team. Unless something very strange happens, they passed it.

Best game all year for defense given quality of opposing offense.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

so the Cowboys essentially traded Micah and Mazi Smith for Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark and a move up roughly 20 spots into the back of the first round of the '26 draft.

they got no extra picks out of it

Blue expires next march. Yellow expires the following march. Jets are basically an expansion team now. They have 11 picks in the first two rounds over those two years, and 11 starters to replace. Can you yahtzee?

A big-time reward for the homegrown star.

NE, CAR, and IND have all been surprising success stories, but it's been against 3 of the 4 easiest schedules

BUF has faced the easiest schedule by far, with their opponents having won <30% of their games

CLE is the only team with a losing record vs opponents with a combined win% below 50%

More fun with the Patriots. Here's a table with all the teams since 1978 that have been a top 3 passing game but a bottom 3 running game through the first 6 games of the season.

The 2003 Titans were the only team to do this for a full season: 1st passing, 31st rushing. Steve McNair was co-MVP.

We can argue about whether Caleb Williams is going to "get it" but the Patriots were definitely lucky to have the third draft pick in a year with multiple franchise quarterbacks. Commanders and Patriots both look golden off that.

Another back-breaking mistake from the Patriots.

Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled at the goal line, wiping off a should-be TD.

That's Stevenson's second fumble today. Last season, he had the most fumbles of any non-QB.
