Wow, not far off a million tonnes of sewage (diluted with rain water) was intercepted from going in the River Thames by the new London super sewer system in one day !

Been playing with the new National (well as in England) Storm Overflow Hub - it appears to be useful for what's happening now but I can't see that it's set up to provide access to historical discharge data which is a shame (I could be wrong). The purple indicates discharging NOW - how nice.

I was contemplating getting on with some writing of a journal article this evening,
Luckily, I remembered seeing a shop opening times last Sunday.
I'm now off for a beer and going to read a novel.
