This is why cutting Park Service staff is murderously stupid.

And this guy's YouTube channel is great, by the way.

What a terrible take. Sure, some expansion of suburban growth boundaries is inevitable, but chewing up more land with more sprawl -- especially of the sort pictured in this article -- is unsustainable, both environmentally and economically. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/10/m...
America Needs More Sprawl to Fix Its Housing Crisis
The word has become an epithet for garish, reckless growth — but to fix the housing crisis, the country needs more of it.

Comcast/Xfinity's AI chatbot is the most infuriatingly useless piece of garbage interface I've ever encountered. The "A" part may be true but the "I" part is most definitely not. Nothing I said would get it to connect me to a human. Saying "fuck you" perked it up a little but not for long.

The world order that has created unprecedented levels of peace, prosperity, and democracy since WWII was largely the creation of 3 US presidents, all Democrats: Wilson, FDR, and Truman. So of course Trump wants to blow it up and return to the world of Republicans like McKinley.

The damage being done, the scope of the cruelty and tragedy, is hard to take in. It is the sort of stain that should be remembered. Will it be?”
