Beneath this wig I am wearing a tie
Ah yes! I think you're right.

I can't remember off the top of my head what songs they were recording that day and now I have to go out, so can't check my Recording Sessions book! Someone who follows you is bound to know. Over to them all.....

Haha! I bow to your superior jacket knowledge! It is a lovely jacket and I understand your envy!

It is strange that his glasses are off for what looks like a candid shot. Personally, I love how John looks with those specs on!

Yeah. My favourite photos are the ones Norman Parkinson takes on September 12th 1963. John is wearing jeans on that day too. And this gives me the perfect opportunity to share one of my favourites! Just realised it's a @teatles.bsky.social pic too!

My favourite detail in that picture is John's glasses and lovely corduroy jacket that he has placed at his side

Haha! Yes, you could listen to him for hours...

This chimes with my experience seeing him in Edinburgh a few days later (apart from Emma Swift & Mike McCartney being there!) He was beyond funny and charming and the intimacy of one man and his guitar is a beautiful thing

If Trump and other autocrats are to be defeated, it will be by bold, bright, anti-establishment candidates, who speak for those who struggle with enormous rents, failing public services, lousy pay and insecure, unsatisfying jobs, rather than for those inflicting these miseries.

And going "We will simply have more growth if people work harder" is magic thinking with no basis in reality. You get growth when money is in the pockets of people who spend it, not being hoarded by a tiny minority. This is why every sector is struggling and businesses everywhere are failing.

The War Game is currently available on iPlayer. Utterly extraordinary.

The War Game
Controversial drama depicting the consequences of a nuclear attack on Britain. The film was made in 1965 but not televised until 1985 as the BBC judged it 'too horrifying'.

I often think of the day Peter Jackson released his sneek peak and how happy and excited it made us all feel. It's funny how familiar all these shots are to us now!

I used to think that the only good thing about Autumn is the colours, but now I can add music to the mix. All further recommendations are very welcome!
