Brown is the NBA’s version of Pete DeBoer. A good coach who doesn’t connect with players well enough and is death in his own locker room after a few years, leading to his banishment.

And no, Monte McNair and Mike Brown were not better. McNair was too cautious and Brown very much had no idea how to get through to his players by the end of his tenure.
