Just attended a very moving #HolocaustMemorialDay2025 service in #Retford where our local MP Jo White and Mayor and Deputy Mayor spoke, where we were reminded of atrocities committed in the past and learning the lessons for today and the future in ensuring that they are never repeated.

It was a privilege to speak as Deputy Leader at the official launch today of the Fusion Energy Café - the first of its kind in the world - located at The Bridge - Skills Hub . It will raise awareness of the huge clean energy and economic opportunities that STEP project will bring to the local area.

I met John Prescott on a few occasions, including in 2009, at a Downing Street reception. He was a political giant for the Labour Movement, the country, and internationally in helping to get the Kyoto treaty agreed to tackle climate change. RIP John.
