I used Bitly (free) in the past to provide short URLs, but I am now disappointed to see they are not as transparent as before (showing a preview, probably mostly promoting themselves). I am now moving to TinyURL.

If you are running #MySQL 8.0, you might want to consider setting innodb_doublewrite_pages to 128 (it is the new default in 8.4). My latest blog post explains why.

If Canada becomes part of the US, like the orange-hair bozo is repeating ad nauseam, ex-Canadians living abroad will have to pay taxes to Washington (currently not paying to Ottawa) and thick the box "US Citizen" in bank forms and more, which complicates everything ! #NotAGoodDeal

It was reminded to me, via @lefredbe.bsky.social interview on ODBMS.org, that #MySQL will be 30 years-old in 2025. I think I still have the t-shirt from 10 years ago, I will try bringing it in Brussels for FOSDEM.
