Thank god other people are bringing this up. SMW has always had kind of an amateur look when compared to other Mario outings. Compare SMW to Sonic 1 and it’s no wonder why Sonic looked more impressive at the time, even if we ignore all the other areas Sonic excelled at.
Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.

I haven't seen the trailer for the Mario Galaxy movie and I don't really know when I'll bother to since I was unimpressed w/ the first movie and sincerely doubt the sequel will be any sort of meaningful improvement. That all said, Brie Larson as Rosalina is perfect casting. ✨

Looks like the patched in Pikmin 4 hard mode is legit not a joke, which has me excited to try it at some point. I'd love for the majority of the non-postgame stuff to be actually fun and rewarding to play and not just be carried by how adorable Oatchi and Moss are.

This blog post really nails what I find so terrifying about the AI uprising. There's probably so, so many people poisoned by this tech, who now can't function without it. It's scary. You'll never catch me using something like ChatGPT or an image generator.
