Many constitutional lawyers agree that there is a pending constitutional crisis, which will be definitively triggered if Trump refuses to obey a court order.

Opinion | It’s not just about defiance of the law; it’s about reshaping the law to their own purposes.

I'm not sure where the edges between convincing your partner to go with the shade of blue you actually wanted by starting the negotiations with a heavily saturated navy and where we are today, but let's talk ideas, darlings. Why the hell not.

Massachusetts peeps, time to email or call your state (as in Boston) reps and let them know you oppose this bill:

The sentence it wants to strike out contains protections for libraries and schools if a parent objects to LGBTQ+ content in books.

A team of public health pros, web devs, and coders has preserved a copy of the #CDC website as it existed on January 20, 2025: RestoredCDC.org

Things you don't think about doing with your thumb until you've put it out so bad you can't use it anymore... even #hypermobile people hurt their stupid #joints, sometimes. (This is tedious and a break from your regularly scheduled dumpster fire themed programming. Enjoy.)

Some ideas, as he says, for your consideration, for those of you following along looking for concrete, actionable advice
"What can I do?"

That is the number 1 question I get asked. And at this time in our democracy -- or what remains of it when public servants put their loyalty to a person above their oaths of office— I am grateful that people are asking that question.

Below is a video with my answer:

Boosting the signal. My budget is insanely tight, right now, but perhaps one of you might be able to send some support their way (and maybe next month will hurt less in my house)!

Boosting the signal on the point. Maintain forward momentum. Try things. Remember that solutions are made of many tiny parts. Such as choosing to spend your money either hyper locally or perhaps not at all. For instance.
None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

What do you do while stuck in #waitingmode? Today, I figured I could do things that kept me physically close to the thing I was waiting for. Like bake. In the kitchen. Where I can definitely hear the delivery man (our doorbell is Fickle). Also, #glutenfree #kingarthurflour #cookies turn out well!

It is important to acknowledge that some things are, in fact, being don't. Some is better than none.

Call your duly elected officials. Thank them if they're doing anything at all to the end of ending this. Tell them you're disappointed and upset if they're not. Communicate. It all counts.

Eat the parasite class 🙃
We have to stop dividing our problems into “left and right" and start seeing our problems like “top vs bottom.”

737 billionaires in the U.S. have a combined wealth of 5.5 trillion. And they funneled it out of the middle class.

Then Trump keeps us fighting with each other while they steal more.

See previous rant about making good use of language.
"If journalists don't get smarter about the effect of language and metaphors on the brain, they will be as responsible as anyone for the demise of American democracy."

Critical messaging/language guidance for journalists and thought leaders to focus on - from the remarkable @george-lakoff.com
"One bad headline isn’t the end of the world. Unfortunately, American journalism is full of bad headlines that unwittingly serve the purposes of authoritarianism. For example, when Trump tells a big lie, most headlines make a point of repeating the lie." www.theframelab.org/framing-powe...

Call spades spades. Call fascism fascism. Ok? This is a complicated language with an enormous vocabulary. Make good use of it.
Exactly. And stop saying oligarchy. There's lots of more relatable substitutes- fat cats, billionaires, tech bros, robber barons etc etc
Hey, Dems. Stop saying Trump cut funding for the “Bipartisan Infrastructure Act,” & start saying “Trump defunded our roads & bridges.”

Focus on the concrete actions that impact everyday Americans. Messaging & language matter.
