A belated currently inked fountain pen list for September. Bringing in a few autumnal tones

It's so disappointing that the paper has changed. I ordered my 2026 kinbor weeks before I realised that the paper had changed, and I only use fountain pens. Luckily the A5 & A6 page per day books are still excellent, so that's what I'm using next year.

Really enjoying the beautiful simplicity of this Rotring 600 fountain pen. It writes like a dream, and I can pretend I'm a cool architect type when I'm using it....

It's a small pen - I don't usually post pens, but I do with this one! Just over 14cm when posted, just under 12 without.

Beautiful pen, nib and ink combination to brighten up a seriously dull morning at work.

Gah, I still want it 😭

I think it looks lovely and almost pre ordered it! I hadn't even considered that it's skin coloured 😅
I just think it would look neat between my two other M200s...

A belated currently inked fountain pen list for July. Not much change from last month because I'm just so happy with them all.

I've just added this beauty to my collection. My first Ebonite fountain pen, an Esterbrook Model J in violet. I'm really enjoying exploring special nib grinds. This one is going to be fitted with a dentist or cursive italic nib from Galen Leather.

Currently inked for a new month. Very restrained by usual standards!
Plus a writing sample from my new Estie fountain pen with a scribe nib. It's fantastic, I'm so pleased with it. No scratchiness, just a sharp, clean joy to write with.

Hello fountain pen Bluesky. I'm considering an Esterbrook Scribe nib. I LOVE my Hongdian long knife nib, which I believe is similar to an architect grind... So should be similar to the Scribe? The reviews online are very mixed, I'd love to hear your opinions if you've tried one.

My currently inked fountain pens. I have decided there is no such thing as a 'perfect' blue ink... I'm enjoying having a selection and choosing a different one each day.

New fountain pen, new notebook! What a day!
I'm struggling to think what ink colour would suit the cream and rose gold Eco best though.... I've chosen purple for now but it doesn't quite click. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Two new fountain pen inks that I'm very impressed with. I've been struggling to find a purple that I can use for work, but I think Lilac Night might be just the thing. Celadon Cat is stunning, and not too dry in this medium Pilot nib.

A lovely relaxed weekend morning.

This month's fountain pens! Colourful piston filler demonstrators are in!
May 1, 2025 at 10:51 AM
I have used (and set aside) a lot of 3 and 5 pen cases .... I just love the flexibility of this one.

At the other end of the fountain pen spectrum, how about this Jinhao snake pen?!
April 15, 2025 at 4:34 PM
All of the joy of a smooth, slightly bouncy Pilot gold nib, none of the misery of Pilot converters! It's the Pilot Custom Heritage 92!
I finally understand the Pilot fountain pen hype (after not getting on with a Kakuno and a vanishing point!)

Whilst we're talking about notebooks, look at these absolute beauties I picked up this week! Two from Tk Maxx (£3 each and fountain pen friendly!) and one from the Bodleian Library.

I've just bought a hobbit notebook and I'm blaming you!

My currently inked fountain pen line up for April. Lots of blues, with some spring brights thrown in.
April 1, 2025 at 12:08 PM
Update, I am weak. Impossible to capture the dark pink shimmery barrel, or the slight texture/flecking in the grip section and final with my terrible photography. Suffice to say, I am delighted with this pen!

Argh, have just discovered this Sailor PGS that looks like a scone with cream and jam. Delicious!
I absolutely do not need another pen... But I want this one!

I've swapped the nib in this aluminium Kaweko Sport from fine to broad. I'm really enjoying a broader, smoother writing experience at the moment.
