When I was growing up, we had a pair of these ceramic shoes that my godmother gave my mom before I was born. They did not survive the great crash of ‘95 (see above), but I got my own set when my mom and I visited the Netherlands in ~2013. Love these.

My first job out of college was studying zebras in the wild. I lived in Kenya for a year. I have MANY animal ornaments.

The oldest gifted ornament on the tree has 1984 written on it. Given to me by my aunt Gail. There are older ornaments, but those were inherited.

Added wine once I’d finished the lights and garland. Now to reminisce while putting on all the ornaments and wonder about my husband’s kooky aunt’s handmade gifts.

Lots of virtual hugs - that sounds totally likely. Was talking to a student today who’s been fighting an autoimmune response and trying not to start steroids, but is giving in now. I feel for her. I don’t currently have pet photos, but how about a tomato butt!!

My character just found this figurine in a chest - when I say the right command it turns into a beast I can ride. But isn’t it so cute! I will name it Benny.
