Its monetization practices are significantly more ethical than overwatch's. I'm not saying the game doesn't deserve hate. The difference in character design philosophy deserves a lot of hate. Overwatch was diverse, rivals is not.

I don't think I'd call it a strict ripoff. The concept of hero shooter was not overwatch exclusive to begin with. Its game design is actually well thought out and it's clearly doing numbers both financially and just in regards to cultural relevance. I think it's character design is misogynistic tho
