The AI-generated code reminds me of images with too many eyes... it loops within loops, catches the same error many times, tries 6 times to do a thing (in 4 ways).

today in @augmentcode.com

Can it read a whiteboard diagram?

I gave it this one. It used the playwright MCP to open it in a browser and take a screenshot (how is that better?)

Then it described… the flow that I described elsewhere, not at all what the diagram says :-(

That is the most programmery question ever

If it has a definition they would not call it "vibe"!
April 27, 2025 at 12:28 AM
You can't solve collective action problems by opting out of them.

So if you hate what AI is doing to art or the environment,
Try vibe coding. Find out where people are coming from.

So your critique has weight.

Rigor in modeling is different from a rigorous model.

Rigorously choose the right amount of model rigor?
April 17, 2025 at 11:52 PM
In software, try to accommodate what actually happens.

Software can't save sociotechnical systems. But they can make it easier or harder to do the right thing.

Supporting people as they precisely follow a method, or

Exactitude: determining a precise, accurate answer to a well.formed question before proceeding
April 17, 2025 at 11:06 PM
Rigor has a lot of definitions.
One is "a standard or exacting requirement"

Scientific rigor has variety too

Her favorite: adherence to standards or method; exactitude

(I don’t know, some stuff, it’s getting late in the day.)
Step 1. The data you put in, and labeling and filtering, affect accuracy a log.

Step 2. Training aaaaaah

stuff about RAGs and integrating with APIs, all aiming to improve accuracy

start with the LLM domain model: fine tuning, RAG, vectors, embeddings, tokens

Know your business:

Everything you do, every system you design, you need to be able to tie it back to company strategy.

Resilience is the capacity to withstand or to recover from difficulties.
@lanooba.com

it doesn’t mean we aren’t affected by the cycles of tech

A lot of DDD is sensemaking. We could use some of that here.
