The amount of times I’ve told a library kid “if you want something that feels like Calvin and Hobbes, try Phoebe and her Unicorn” must be in the hundreds at this point. He’s right.

Most publishers (there are always exceptions) decide whether or not to buy a second book (or a third etc) based on how the previous book did. So when you pirate a book in most cases it’s less about the money you just stole from both author and publisher it’s about the future book you just killed.

My dad's ideal TG spread is turkey (stuffing baked inside), six kinds of potato chips, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, rolls, jellied canned cranberries, and pie. They had mashed cauliflower. No potatoes. No dairy. No gluten. My dad's palate is set to 1959 white people, not 2013 keto.

My father once showed more restraint than I have ever seen him exhibit in my 45 years when my brother and his then-girlfriend (now wife) were doing Keto and hosted a Keto Thanksgiving. Keto gravy (blended sauteed onions). Appetizers were roasted almonds and kale chips. None of us were warned before.
