Sally Ride’s 1977 letter to NASA fits in a single post:

"To whom it may concern,

I am a PhD candidate in astrophysics at Stanford University, and am interested in the space shuttle program. Please send me the forms necessary to apply as a 'mission specialist' candidate.

Thank you,
Sally Ride”

Being totally not plugged into art world/history means flipping through NYT obits only to discover someone already did the sculptures I dream of doing ha

(gift article)
Richard Serra, Who Recast Sculpture on a Massive Scale, Dies at 85
His tilted walls of rusting steel, monumental blocks and other immense and inscrutable forms created environments that had to be walked through, or around, to be fully experienced.

Discovering the joy of secondhand recently ✨ Got this scratchy Icelandic wool sweater for $15 + 30min stretching it (wet blocking); the plum cashmere sweater for $14 + 40min darning two small holes; the skirt I’m struggling to like but was $30 and will probably alter once my measurements settle down

Biking in moderate rain with traffic around kinda sucks, drivers are angrier for some reason and when my glasses slip down I can’t adjust them as easily because I’m wearing a Cleverhood cape on top. Any tips??

Date me I’m a cat person but I’m the cat and you will have to learn my favorite snacks
Dating advice: date a cat person- they are already accustomed to learning your fave snacks and what makes you stop keening unexplainably at odd hours.
