"In contrast,
when engaging with a low perceptual load task (demands do not fill one's perceptual capacity), having extra capacity can have a negative impact as it may result in the automatic
processing of task-irrelevant information resulting in increased
vulnerability to distraction." 2/2

Oh I get so impatient drawing. I think I jump to another area quite quick. I just want all the space to be filled quick. Once it's filled then I can sometimes go back. But generally only when it's abstract. I feel discomfort working with blank spaces. Writing too. Maybe it's anticipation.

Also some theories talk of hypo priors, Pellegrino I think that is, but it very negative and evidence for it is lacking, there is evidence for similar or heightened priors dependant on context, but not hypo priors. Bayesian brain is another term exploring it. Hope that helps you explore more.

You'll also find work by Andy ward I think within philosophy. And described as gestalt processing also in other places. Olga B. Book describes it here language is not great. This relates to it. There's lot of different terms talking about very similar things.

Specifically in Autistic neurology there's a bit but it tends to be all really pathological language so you've got to be okay with manually neutralising the language as you go through it. Then you could look up Van De Cruys HIPPEA model. Their second paper is less problematic. But still not great.

If it the subject of predictive coding your interested in rather than specifically related to Autistic neurology then you could look of Karl Friths he talks about it in terms of the free energy principle and does some good YouTube the videos on it.

Its more so that the deep dive elaborates on the chapter I wrote in the book.
