@recurringdream.bsky.social I have thoughts and feelings about social media, but I there has never been another moment in history when a robot might encourage me to follow back "a disgusting feminist whore with a Jezebel spirit who uses filters in all of her videos and lives in rebellion to God."

My son's special interests are airline disasters, forensic science, and the phrase "fun fact." I can assure that, while his facts may be factual, they are almost never my idea of fun.

What is Kavanaugh talking about? Genuinely, what "cost" has Sam Alito incurred for his values or opinions or whatever? People who already didn't like him before now like him even less? These people are such babies, man. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

Strength training is political. We have a right-wing which has taken over physical fitness spaces, and hijacked “warrior culture”.

We need a muscular progressivist visions. We need to be strong to build the world we want.

This is very good.

This seems like something one might forgive as a slip in other circumstances. Here, however, it tracks.
“With her baby in her placenta.”
RFK Jr: "Somebody showed me a TikTok video of a pregnant woman at 8 months pregnant -- she's an associate professor at the Columbia Medical School -- and she is saying 'F Trump' and gobbling Tylenol with her baby in her placenta. The level of Trump Derangement Syndrome is now a pathology."

My son only caught parts of this episode, which I listened to while making dinner. Nevertheless, he made a detailed and persuasive case that Dale Carnegie was autistic. NB: My son is autistic.
Episode 45: How To Win Friends And Influence People

89 years ago, Dale Carnegie taught Americans how to live like Leo Tolstoy, give speeches like John Rockefeller and neg like Calvin Coolidge.

What we might refer to as a "Kavanaugh Stop"
WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.

He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.

My mom worked for the CENSUS Bureau. One of her long-term projects was a study about what people eat for the Department of Agriculture. I learned a lot from hearing my mom talk about that work.
The Administration acknowledged that it will stop the survey that measures food insecurity, just as tariffs push up food prices and the deep cuts to food assistance enacted in July start to take effect. Congress must intervene to save these vital data. www.wsj.com/economy/trum...
Exclusive | Trump Administration Cancels Annual Hunger Survey
