Well someone had a hell of a weekend

Both laid to rest in my own hometown, Pleasant Hill, California

I’m aware this is empirically correct, but I still have an intensely negative reaction towards people who are just pretending that nothing’s happening, which appears to be most people. I guess this is where my empathy is starting to reach its limits.
A lot of people are pretty freaked out by the current political state of affairs and carrying on because they don't know what else to do, except out one foot in front of the other. And I think a lot of Very Online folks mistake that for "normie" indifference
