The irony of them attacking people who might have a disability that makes it difficult to produce or even remember to produce alt text. It's bully behavior disguised as altruism and performative morality. They couldn't even be bothered to type the words themselves.

One of the most dystopian things I've ever seen regarding this is seeing one of my favourite authors of all time asking for donations to pay for their medical bills. Not a small author either, a regular in book shops, multiple series. A known and beloved author.
