thing you can do instead of concocting weird things you should NOT put in your eyes is learn to identify fake vs real tourniquets

rule one: CHECK YOUR OWN i don't care who gave it to you, how much you trust them bc the one im abt to show was from someone who trusted someone & told me it was real

Russia launched one of the most complex overnight barrages in months—drones, Kalibrs, Kinzhal and Iskander-K, plus ballistic strikes—hitting Kyiv and multiple regions. In the capital, at least six people were killed and dozens injured. 👇

High-rises in Pecherskyi and Dnipro districts took direct hits; Sviatoshyn was struck again this morning, and a drone slammed into an apartment in Rusanivka. Major energy sites—CHP-5 and CHP-6—were hit, triggering power cuts, water outages, and public transport delays.👇

Tonight, spare a thought for the rescuers and medics working through the smoke—and for the families waiting for a message that simply says, “I’m okay.”

authors you have the chance to do the funniest thing right now
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

I hope that any parents of disabled children out there reading this will see that this pattern exists in your community and take great care not to fall into these traps. In the end the only person who can truly speak about life with disability is *a disabled person*.

These are folks who talk over any disabled person they encounter to demonstrate their knowledge of lived disabled experiences. They speak for their children and diminish that child’s existence by inflating their own egos. They brag about their advocacy for the community while they do so so much harm

Some abled parents of disabled people are the most violent ableists. They use their children as tools to demonstrate their heroism in shouldering the burden of taking care of a disabled person, think they’re incapable of ableism, and say the experience of a caretaker is the same as being disabled.

steam is apparently allowing "this game had AI in it that it didn't disclose" as a valid return statement, so if you or anyone you know actually paid $70 for slop, get that money back

May her memory be for a revolution. May it deepen our commitments. May her example sharpen our politics. May her life remind us that disability justice is a practice of transforming the world through collective care, accountability, creativity, defiance and imagination.

Alice Wong’s legacy is the political horizon she helped articulate. A horizon where disabled knowledge is central, and care is a shared commitment. She taught us to name grief & rage without collapsing under them, to celebrate disabled brilliance without ignoring the material conditions shaping life
