It’s important to note from a military perspective that if a subordinate is about to give an unlawful order & his senior knows about it, it’s also a requirement for the senior official to stop him from executing it. And then counsel/discipline him.

From professional experience I can honestly state that there IS NO WAY that the plans for these strikes, the specific targets, and the ROE were not approved by the National Command Authority (President & SecDef).

The DOD side has gone into full-blown crisis mode, as DOD/Hegseth attempts to both (1) make this all about just the second strike and (2) make Adm. Bradley the scapegoat for the lawlessness that Hegseth, Leavitt, and others have all but bragged about.
