Getting an LPA is a really complicated process - could it not be made simpler with something like the NHS App (which as it happened I started when I was Health Secretary)? It sounds a really smart idea which I will raise with the Justice Secretary.

That is a ridiculous delay so I am going to intervene with Surrey County Council. I then spoke to a Godalming resident about failures by the Office of the Public Guardian over the way legal powers of attorneys work and how they regulate them.

This is an issue I worked hard to improve as Health Secretary and is heartbreaking to hear it is still going on. Finally sorting the issue out is a major theme of my campaigning in parliament with the All Party Patient Safety Group.

I then spoke to a Farncombe resident about the same issue - and also an issue about an NHS hospital not being open about failures in care.
