Finished this one yesterday, I think you can see a bit of glare as the paint was still pretty wet in places.

Haven't worked on this one in a couple of weeks but made a big jump this weekend. I think I'll need one (maybe two) more passes to really get it locked in but it's getting pretty close.

Hands Off protest in Boulder, CO in front of the NOAA facility. This was the second group of protesters in Boulder and the still the protest stretched for a mile in either direction.

Starting 2 brand new paintings. These amazing "Rapture" dice from SummitDice are incredible. One without a patina and one with a pretty strong green patina. Thought it would make a nice diptych pair. Transfer and wipeout.

Between 2017 and 2021 I found it impossible to do studio work.

Now I feel like I'm going to have to hold on to these little dice portraits with both hands just so I don't fall back into that pit of despair.

Another good session, and this #painting is wrapped up. I darkened the shadow areas with a maganese violet pass to darken, make it more chromatic and to relate it better to the background area. That helped the shadow side of the form look more solid.

Best part about time off from work is more studio time. First time straying from the icosahedrons for this series. But these "elven cut" D10s were so great they really called to me.

Got some new oil #paint to work with. I have an amethyst D100 and an aquamarine D20 #painting that are in progress. I think these will help out a lot. I haven't used Michael Harding paints before, excited to try these out.
