Normally, in movies, the disabled gotta be cured, or DIE at the end. This way, the audience can feel nicely sad and bittersweet about their death, instead of disturbed by having their weird bodies, tragic pains etc STILL AROUND.

Everyone keeps comparing it to the Substance, and the reasons are obvious, but I think this one had more depth to it. Even though everything was turned up to eleven and heavily caricatured, the characters still felt more like real people, somehow. (1/4)
