I don’t live in nyc anymore but I am there a lot still and I love these dining sheds-in addition to avoiding crowds, which for some is still urgent, they make Manhattan feel European to me.

I do this thing w my adv fiction students where we vote on a recent novel no one (including me) has yet read + we discuss it from a craft perspective. Long Island Compromise is GREAT. It’s incredibly smart. It’s doing all the things at once. I don’t feel it got the literary cred it truly deserves.
