This is what the bosses were voting for when they voted for Trump, and why they were aggressively putting out stories about how bad the Biden's 3% unemployment economy was.

If you're a worker and you helped them push that narrative, congratulations, you are a dupe:

I agree with Bluesky’s decision because the law is insane, but we need to find a way to help these guys out. They do great work.
BREAKING: BlueSky is blocking access to Mississippi.

This is the No. 1 platform for @mississippifreepress.org.

We ditched X for BlueSky early this year.

And now, at 3 pm on a Friday, poof.

I don't know what we'll do next.

Keep up with us using our newsletter at mfp.ms/subscribe.

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

the point of lists like these is always to get dem politicians to stop caring about the issues--poverty, racism, LGBT discrimination--that these words are stands ins for
I actually agree that Democrats should refrain from using most of these. And they already do! When was the last time a Senator said 'heteronormative'?

The bigger problem is that orgs like Third Way are reinforcing this false, right-wing narrative. Dems can't stop doing something they're not doing!
Scoop: Third Way is circulating a memo, shared first with @playbookdc, featuring a new blacklist of words Dems shouldn’t use.

Finally, I said years ago, and folks who have followed me for a long time know this is true, that defunding the police was a moderate demand that is actually the basement in terms of what's needed. I said that liberals will be deeply sorry that they turned that demand into some kind of bogeyman.

She’s talking about the guy Republicans put in charge of health for all Americans.
"He had that weird thing about roadkill, always,” Radziwill said on Swisher’s podcast.

“He would pick it up from the road all the time and leave it in his minivan, and sometimes he’d forget. There’d be like a skunk under the seat. His minivan always smelled of death.”

Once again, republicans are allowed to talk shit about entire parts of our country and get away with it. This is the president’s son. Replace this with any prominent Democrat and it would be nonstop coverage. It’s more than clear now this is a choice.

today a UN body announced famine is in Gaza. this oped from New Disabled South connects US funding of Israel's starvation campaign to Trump's BBB cutting SNAP as fundamentally American.

"The U.S. allegedly has no money to feed its children or the world’s children, but has plenty of money for war."
From Famine in Gaza to Trump Cutting SNAP, Child Hunger is An American Pastime
"At home and abroad, the U.S. government is participating in starving people, particularly children, and calling it policy."
