Just finished this book last night. Wow. What a stunner! Very tough to read at times, especially when so much of our country seems to want to go back to those times, but so worth it. Off to buy some more @tananarivedue.bsky.social books!

Slow but steady progress on my current Zentangle jeans project.

I'm tickled pink that at 59 years old, I'm stronger than I have ever been. This is 185 pounds! (And I clearly can do more weight, since I did these after 10 reps at 125, 8 reps at 145, and 6 reps at 165.)

I don't get to post finished pieces as often these days because I'm working at bigger scale than I used to. So, here's a work in progress. A pair of Zentangle jeans for a friend and fellow CZT. So fun to do, but they do take a long time!

Here's an updated version of yesterday's Zentangle post. I felt like the previous version was a little sparse, so added some smaller elements in the background.

Finished my latest large-format (for Zentangle) piece. This is 7 x 9 on hot press watercolor paper. Background is Distress Ink, shading with Pablo watercolor pencils. Still debating whether to add more to the background. Will experiment with it digitally.

I'm doing a lot of larger-format Zentangle pieces these days. I'm enjoying working on the same piece for more than a couple of days. I'm working on one now, but here's the last one I completed.

Because I can never think of what to post on social media, here's a gratuitous video of me deadlifting 143 pounds earlier this afternoon. Not bad for a 59-year-old, eh?

I used to love wearing jewelry, but as a homebody, I almost never wear it anymore. Today, I decided it was fine to wear this beautiful ring, which is the only piece of fine jewelry I've ever bought myself, even though there's no special occasion.

I'm still learning my way around this new app and don't really know what to post. I figured I can't go wrong with a cute dog photo, so here's a photo of Dash the Rescue Dog on his 12th birthday in September.

A couple of possible tops I can have made by Le Galleriste using the artwork I posted earlier. I'm trying not to go too crazy ordering from them, but it's hard. (I already have an order for the top on the right with a different pattern on it. I'll hold off ordering another until I see how it fits.)

Testing the waters over here at Blue Sky. I'm not sure I really want another social media app, but I'm so disgusted with the old ones that I thoughtI'd try a new one. Here's the artwork I finished today.
